Central Oklahoma Music Teachers Association
2019 MTNA Local Association of the Year
The Central Oklahoma Music Teachers Association (COMTA) is an organization dedicated to the instruction of all musicians and the professional development of their teachers. COMTA is a non-profit organization representing music teachers in private studios, schools and universities. We are a local unit of our statewide (OMTA) and national organization (MTNA).
Our membership includes teachers of piano, voice, violin, flute, organ, guitar, harp, clarinet, accompanying, music theory and composition. Many of our teachers have studios in their homes, at commercial addresses, online or they travel to student's homes. We are proud that 30% of our membership carry the National Certified Teacher designation through MTNA.
